The Cambria County Association for the Blind and Handicapped (CCABH) is proud to announce that Tara Bosserman, President/CEO has been named the Yellow Rose Award Recipient of the YWCA Greater Johnstown’s 2024 Tribute to Women.

Since 1987, the YWCA has been honoring women leaders who work and reside in Cambria and Somerset counties with the awards.

The Yellow Rose nominee is chosen by the YWCA Greater Johnstown board of directors.  The award recognizes someone who exemplifies the mission of the YWCA to eliminate racism and empower women.

Tara Bosserman started at CCABH 30 years ago as the General Manager in the Johnstown Division.  Tara was named President/CEO of CCABH in July 2021.  Tara received her B.A. in English from The Pennsylvania State University and her MBA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  Currently, Tara serves on the board of the Pennsylvania Association for the Blind.  Driven by her passion for serving persons with disabilities, Tara understands the necessity of vocational rehabilitation especially within Cambria County. She combines the unique rehabilitation background with her manufacturing experience to create a successful working environment for over 400 employees.  Her aspiration for success with her ongoing compassion makes her a role model for women everywhere. The staff and employees of CCABH send sincere congratulations to Tara for this very much deserved award.
