An international panel of experts in the solar industry has awarded CAB Solar Cable Management with Integrated Grounding the 2021 Award in the PV – BOS (Balance of System) Category. The annual award, sponsored by PV Magazine, honors 2021’s best, most innovative solutions in seven distinct categories of solar technology.

CAB Solar was selected from over 205 entries worldwide. CAB’s system impressed the jury with its “simplicity and ease of deployment, and high potential for labor saving impact in the large-scale solar segment.”

The 2021 awards were presented February 3, 2022 in an international virtual ceremony. The keynote speaker was Martin Green, Scientia Professor at the UNSW and Director of the Australian Centre for Advanced Photovoltaics. He is credited with the 1983 invention of the PERC solar cell. Professor Green and his team developed this technology to its full potential, and in 2020 PERC accounted for an estimated 85% of worldwide solar module production. Professor Green has received the 1999 Australia Prize, the 2002 Right Livelihood Award, the 2007 SolarWorld Einstein Award, the 2016 Ian Wark Medal from the Australian Academy of Science, and the prestigious Global Energy Prize in 2018.
